As a former NFL player, I was thrust into a situation of earning a large salary with no true experience with money at all. I was 23 years old, making a six figure income, with no formal training on how to manage it. I also had no idea who to talk to because I was taught not to talk about money. After that first year in the NFL I had almost spent my entire salary and had nothing to show for it. After nearly going broke as I decided I would seek out help to not only manage but also help educate me on personal finances so when I do finally hang up my cleats I will have something to show for it. Since my retirement I have made it my mission to educate as many people as I can on financial literacy. My goal is to educate others on how to find and reach long term financial goals and become world class savers.
